About Todos Santos Cuchumatán
Todos Santos is one of the most culturally intact Maya villages in Guatemala. Perched at 2,500 meters in the Cuchumatanes mountains, the Mam Maya men still wear their distinctive red-and-white striped pants and embroidered shirts. The village is famous for its chaotic horse races on November 1st (All Saints' Day), where riders race drunk through the streets. The surrounding mountains offer spectacular hiking, including the multi-day trek to Nebaj.
